Given the lack of 6" adapters on the market, have you ever considered manufacturing a few common adapter plates based on 1/2 a blast gate?

Matt/Ed,
Any thought on this?

I don't think i understand the question. If you mean a blast gate with a 6 inch on top and 1-4 inch on bottom then yes we considered it but I haven't made the form yet. If you just mean some rings that fit into pipe to reduce to smaller pipes we just figured everyone would just make those themselves out of scrap wood laying around.

I thought I had responded, sorry.
I was thinking of a flange and collar - basically 1/2 a blast gate. This could be mounted on the tool and would be more robust than the aluminum HVAC adapters.
I was out at Lee Valley last week and picked up a couple of their 6" metal blast gates to experiment with. They are held together with screws so should come apart quite easily, but they are quite large.
When I think about the freight, customs etc, I might use the Lee Valley gates as gates and cut up some PETG gates to make the adapter plates I need.
I think this is something you could easily add to your product list without a lot of investment.

So Basically what you are saying is that you just want the bottom half of our blast gate (the offset part) that could just be mounted over a hole on the cover of a machine? I think i understand but have not had occasion to use that yet as the blast gate usually gets installed where i can easily access it instead of on the guard or pickup which may or may not be in a good place. Anyway If that is what you are looking for let me know as I may have one or 2 blemished ones laying around.
