Floor sweep design?

Is there a floor sweep design out there somewhere?
I did not find anything on the site search.

Are there any critical dimensions - or just a box with a slot opening along the bottom?

I just told the guys doing all my metal work I wanted floor sweeps to connect to my 7" duct. They knew exactly what I was talking about and took it from there...very happy with the result.

Mine is VERY simple, it's just a 4x10x6 floor register boot form Home Depot. Siliconed into 6" pipe and to the floor.

I went really simple...

Just cut (almost thru) about 1" off the end and leave a tab sticking out to hold the pipe end up off the floor.

I can always add a different end to the pipe later if needed.

Interestnig! Limits the size of chunks to one inch going up the pipe as well.
