The six inch pipe enters at the bottom corner of the sloping base. Sliding gates on the top and side of the enclosure control airflow. All made from shop scrap apart from the $20 acrylic sheet for the window.
It also helps in that I don't have to run the cyclone the entire time. At the end of a short run, I can just spin it up for a few minutes to clear it out nicely.
Sure makes a difference to watch this thing work without a faceful of chips and dust. And even with the cyclone on, it's all quieter too!
