Just wondering if you (Ed) knew you had a great mention and description in a national car audio magazine a month or two ago? Chris Yato is a great fabricator in CA who writes an article for Car Audio and Electronics every month, last month's was about dust collection (we had a long discussion about it on a forum awhile ago, think it got Chris realizing we all needed to think more about it). Apparently he has a ClearVue, had a picture of it in the article, mentioned Bill Pentz etc, it was a good article...I must admit it's what brought me here and once I repipe the shop with 6" I'm adding a CV to my shop.

Just wasn't sure if you guys knew about it? If you haven't seen it I scanned it to email to someone if you need it let me know.

Slick, I finally got time to read the article. Thanks for sending it. WOW! What a great write up! Ed, have you looked into seeing if some of these industry magazines have a classified section, and put in a small ad, if it's not cost prohibitive? Wouldn't have to be a recurring one. But I will say, the advertising of that article couldn't have ben purchased. Jim.

Like I told Ed in email, that article is what got me here...I've known for awhile I needed an upgrade but in all honesty I probably would have ended up with a Grizzly if any cyclone at all (they have a full showroom 30 minutes from me...lots of green machines in my wood and metal shop) Chris's article got me digging on line to Bill's and this site....I'm sold, like I said once I get my ducting changed to 6" (actually last night I decided once I get the router and downdraft upgraded it's time) I'm ordering. Chris has some serious credibility in our industry, some of his fabrication techniques are almost industry standard now....plus he's a really nice down to earth guy so when he gives something a thumbs up....it gets attention from fellow fabricators. I mentioned to Ed at least one place I thought of that alot of us car audio fabricators and shop owners hang out at and talk tools, not sure if he got my email about it though. Actually Ed I thought of two other places you might want to think about, let me know if your interested.

Slick,
I got the copy the other day and strained my eyes a little to read it. Great article. I heard it was in the mag. but as I said before, Pickens, SC isn't exactly up to speed in certain aspects of the world. Now, they do have a lot of information on tractor pulls, but not a lot of audio shops in Pickens.....thus, not many magazines on the subject either. I need to write Chris Yato and thank him which I will do tonight. I know of several customers and orders that we have gotten directly as a result of this article.

Also, I may have missed your e-mail with other suggestions as to markets, but I'm definitely interested in exploring new markets for our cyclone systems. However, we have been growing at a nice steady rate and I don't want to push us to a point where we try to expand too rapidly and end up falling right on our face. I have thought about running some small ads, but again, my concern has been to not let things get out of control. We trippled our sales from 2005 to 2006. This year, I'm afraid ( :D ) that we might double them again. That growth takes a lot of work to keep up with and it's easy to let things get out of control. I believe that the majority of our growth has been from word of mouth and to me that is the best kind. So, I guess a BIG THANK YOU! to all of our customers is in order.
