Can I get away with tightening the taperlock bolts without having to purchase a special torgue wrench? At only 5ft-lbs, can't I just tighten them by feel? I understand the importance of having them tight, so I would error on the side of caution. Aside from from the extreme circumstance of stripping the threads, is there a disadvantage to having them tighter the 5ft-lbs....assuming my 'feel' is a little off.

I'm also considering adding a drop of loctite to the bolts as an insurance policy.

Thanks for your help.

The instructions page on the main ClearVue website has the taperlock instructions at the bottom. They specifically state that overtorqueing can crack the bushing, but they don't say anything about using lock-tite.
