I have viewed the galleries and have seen many cleavue Mini cyclone towers. They all seem to use a gasket between collector bin and cyclone.

I tried setting mine up with an MDF ring direct to 5 gallon buck and I am getting an updraft. I am pretty sure it is because there is no gasket between the bucket. It could be the cyclone mounted to the MDF ring I made, but I tightened it down with 3 bolts and should have made a good seal.

Can anyone tell me what and where they are getting the large gasket material. I have had no success in the plumbing section of my local BORG.

Thanks,

Chris

I would try peel-and-stick weatherstripping that you can stick onto the MDF where it bears on the 5 gallon bucket. I used the original bucket lid (a used 5 gallon drywall compound bucket) for my Mini CV06 and drilled a hole the size of the cyclone outlet in it. I used some 1/2" weatherstriping foam about 2" outside that hole and drilled 5/16" holes centered on each quadrant of the base plate of the CV06 about 1" in from the outer edge. Used 5/16" bolts with flat washers to pull the unit onto the top tightly. Works like a charm and has no leakage.
