Do I need to get the electric box sold by Clear Vue Cyclones in order to use their dust collection unit?

Hello Janice26,

When you purchase a system with us, you will receive a heavy duty motor relay. That relay will need to be wired in an electrical box with a throw switch or other starter device, such as a remote control. It will also need the 220v/30 amp power wired to the relay as well as the motor.

Purchasing our electrical box is optional. Assembled by a master electrician, the electrical box pre-wires the relay and comes with a remote control and receiver. You will also receive a whip that should be wired to the motor and then plugs into the 220v receptacle at the base of the electrical box. Basically, it saves you time and materials when hiring an electrician to wire your system. All he/she would need to do is run the 220v/30 amp power into the box and wire the whip.
