Default height under CV1800?

I have a ceiling height of 112". I am trying to mount the CV1800 so that I can use a fiber barrel under it and place the barrel on a platform with wheels so I can roll the barrel out. I think the assembly instructions are for a 33gal steel trash can but am not sure and that still does not give me the height.

Have any of you who have mounted one ever measured that height?

Thank
Al

Default height under CV1800?

Al,
I measure 30" under the cyclone with a 97" ceiling. If you go to the CV site, click on the CV1800 product listing and then click on the LH CV1800 you will see a drawing with measurements. Click on it and it will expand. It says there is 29.25 or so under the cyclone with 96" ceiling height. So 29" is about the right value with a 96" ceiling height and measuring from the floor up to the very bottom of the plastic. Also, I get 27" for the Behrens can height without any lid. For your case of 112" ceiling height you should have up to 45" below the cyclone.

Thanks BaBaBrown

I think then I can mount the motor a few inches down from the ceiling and still have room under the can. I'll check out the measurements at the site you provided.

Wow, I measured the fiber can and it's 36" high. The ceiling is 9' 3". It's going to be close on the fit but maybe I can make it work. Else I am going to feel like the guy who's motor did not quite fit under the ceiling.

Al,
It sounds like there is enough room as long as you keep the caster height small. One thing I thought of but never tried is to strap the can or bin to a two-wheeled hand cart and just slide it under the cyclone. That would raise the bin very little. The two wheeled carts will easily run over rough ground. By the way, does Green Mtns refer to Vermont?

Very much the west center of Vermont. Near Castleton

I see you are in Nashua, not to far away.

Al

And I like the idea of the two wheel cart. Solves everything and they are available at the local Tractor supply store.
Thanks
