Cyclone Construction

Our Clear Vue Cyclones are built from heavy gauge 1/8" thick (1/16" thick on the CV06 mini cyclone) patented Co polyester (PETG) plastic that has the best qualities of both acrylic (Plexiglas) and poly carbonate (Lexan). PETG plastic has the toughness and scratch resistance of poly carbonate and it is cold forming (can be bent at room temperature to 90 degrees without breaking) and is very impact resistant. At the same time, it has the cost effectiveness of acrylic without being brittle. Our cyclones are thermo-formed over machined round forms making them as true to a perfect circle as possible. All seams on our cyclones are of an offset lap type joint making the inside of the cyclone very smooth thus keeping air turbulence and friction to a minimum. The CV1800 and MAX units include an 18" diameter plastic cyclone (CV1400 includes a 14" diam cyclone) with an MDF board ring at the top, an intake transition from rectangle to 6" round and also includes a piece of 6" flex hose at the bottom of the cyclone for hooking up to the trash can. (Note: The intake transition is butted to the rectangular intake chute and is taped with clear tape.) For shipping purposes the intake chute and transition is made as a separate piece to allow the whole unit to fit into an 18" square box.

Mini CV06

Great for those who are tired of cleaning the filters on their shop vacuums. If you use your shop vacuum for your small sanders etc., this is a great product for you. Can also be used by contractors to clean up houses ....sheet rock dust etc. It will keep the filter on your shop vacuum from getting clogged. It's sized for a standard 2 1/2" shop vacuum hose for the top and for the inlet. The bottom has a piece of MDF board that can be adapted to a container of your choice.....we figured some would want to put it on a 5 gal pail and others would want to put it on a 55 gal drum. The only requirement is that your container be sealed completely and be strong enough to withstand the vacuum created by the shop vac.. Any leaks will cause an updraft and prevent the cyclone from working properly. Also, we highly recommend that you buy a hepa filter for your shop vacuum.
