CV 1800 vs CV Max

Hi, I'm new to this forum and deciding between the two models for a 20'x20' one man shop. Basic machines but very concerned with dust pickup. I would use 6" main for 1800 and 8 for Max.
Any thoughts?

Also if vented to outside, how loud is it?
I'm in residential neighborhood so I'm reluctant to bother neighbor (50' away).

For one person in a 400 square foot shop I would go with the CV-1800. Unless you run two machines at the same time (or don't want to switch the gates) the CV-1800 should suffice. I think you can muffle the outlet enough to not bother the neighbor if you vent outside. Just placing the duct behind a barrier in that direction will help. A number of people have used insulating duct as a muffler (look thru the posts). Hope this helps and I hope a few more people reply.
