Important Announcement
July 29, 2010
Clear Vue will be closed down until the week of August 9th. This week the shop is being packed up for the move to its new location in Kent, WA. Please expect delays in correspondence.
We would like to acknowledge a special debt of gratitude to Bill Pentz for his work in the field of dust collection. For those of you
who arrived at this site from somewhere other than Bill's site,
we strongly advise you to go to his site and study a little before
jumping into anything. Our Clear Vue Cyclone is built according
to Bill's designs and should be used in conjunction with the rest
of the parts that he recommends. On our links page, we include
links to Bill's site, Wynn Environmental who supplies the after cartridge
filters and links to several of our customer's sites. We are currently supplying complete units that include
our own 15" impellers and Leeson
5hp motors.
This whole venture came about as a result of Matt Morgano building
a new woodworking shop, he started researching dust collection (his father had a 2 hp bag type “dust
blower”) and came upon Bill Pentz’s web site. Together with Matt’s dad, Ed Morgano,
they built a cyclone according to Bill’s plans and when it
was finished it worked so well that they just simply had to build one for Ed’s workshop.
Beyond that, Ed’s curiousity caused him to see what was going on inside, so he decided
to build one out of clear plastic. “Well, let me tell you, this
was a great thing.” Ed commented. “Now, not only do I have a dust “collector”,
but I have a “Clear Vue” of what is going on inside
of the unit.” After having built Bill's design and
seeing how well it worked, they were thoroughly convinced that
“this is the best dust collector design that money can buy”. No false
claims, it just worked great! They saw first hand that it performed
as Bill said. After about two months of projects in Matt’s’ shop
they took the filter rack off to inspect it. Other than a very
small amount of fine dust (there wasn't enough to discolor
the white filters), it was virtually clean!
